Rustic Line
1945
Typically a matte to semi matte glaze, colored in ivory with brown and green spray. This matte line was originally 12 production shapes, as well as a tea service. Many other non-production and rare shapes have also been covered in a similar overspray glaze. These very rare shapes and some of the production line pieces show the hand of renowned designer Sydney Cope starting to emerge as a force in the world of art pottery.
Also linked to this line by many collectors are the glossy glazed greens and browns from the same period. While not linked at the pottery or in catalogs, both will be included here.
As rare shapes are shared with us, those too will be added here.
